Copenhagen named Dancecore (www.stengade30.dk). Question: Is Babylonian Tiles a "modern"
GOTHIC(?) band inspired by Ultimate Spinach and Amboy Dukes ?! Or should I ask: Are
they from another planet? I can't imagine a gothic version of "Let's Go Get Stoned"
(amboy dukes -67), - but what about gothic versions of songs from the 60'-Boston-freaks
Ultimate Spinach then? Something like Christian Death meets Country Joe & the fish
or what?!! Sounds pretty weird !! -but also interesting I must say - and quite
charming!! Well, If you're really into VERY EARLY dark (gothic?)stuff, please check
out these early recordings (If you're lucky enough to find them):
Sabana Breeze: "Slave" (1967?)
The Caligo Wall: "I'm a living sickness" (7-inch 1967)
Cro Magnon: "orgazm" (Esp-LP 1969)
Coven: "Witchcraft destroys minds and reap souls" (1969)(early neofolk-satanistic stuff)

like The Swans, Bauhaus, Young Gods, Clan Of Xymox or Virgin Prunes and newer things
like Breathe and Theatre of Tragedy.

comments: I love the psychadelic side of Gothic Rock and Industrial Dance
and I intend to try at least to find some Babylonian Tiles records. However,
there are very few bands who try to mix the two styles - does anyone know of
any other good trippy/ druggy psychadelic bands who are also dark and gloomy?
Early Skinny Puppy and early Attrition are very hallucinagenic and dream-like,
as are a few songs by The Chameleons but I need more... If anyone can help
